Hannah's current body of work explores her hometown of Sunderland. Her illustrations examine the Mackem identity, focusing on the city's working-class history, shipbuilding heyday, sports motifs, and often uncredited influence on the arts.

2026 Highlights
After her interview in Living North's January issue, Hannah has added several more illustrations to her collection and been commissioned by PROPA!, The Cultural Spring, and Sunderland BID, among others.
She has also exhibited her work in various shows across Sunderland, Hartlepool, and London. Anyone interested in working with her, on behalf of a business or as a private person, is encouraged to get in touch.

Hannah Rich
Hannah Rich is a northern English artist and illustrator, known for her hand-drawn portraits and detailed linework. Inspired by film and theatre, her art often focuses on people and identity, referencing culture and history. She works traditionally and digitally, creating intricate drawings, paintings and other designs using layering techniques and mixed media.As seen in Living North Magazine (2026), Sunderland's Fire Station (2025), and the Hilton Newcastle Tyne Bridge (2018), her art appeals to global collectors, celebrities, and businesses. Hannah's clients include PROPA! (2026), Sunderland BID (2026), Sunderland Music City (2025), ATG Entertainment (2021), Bounceback Food (2021), and Gateshead College (2018), among others. She has also been awarded two UKSPF grants.
